Waxing Tips

Preparation
Wash and dry the area you're going to wax before you start.

If this is your first time waxing, or the first time with a new type of wax, it's best to do a test patch on a small area of skin beforehand.

If your hair is extra long trim it back to no more than 5mm in length.

Soft Wax
Soft wax is best used on arms and legs (not more delicate areas such as your face).

Put some wax into the heating cup then place the cup inside the heater, and stir until the wax has a syrupy consistency.

Using a spatula, apply a thin coat of wax onto the hairs to be treated and rub down a paper strip over the area. While holding the skin taut, pull the paper off in a quick movement - pull in the opposite direction of hair growth - You may need to soothe the area before you move on to the next patch.

Hard Wax
Hard wax is best used on delicate areas such as facial areas, bikini line and under your arms.

Hard Wax comes in tablets, heat then use one tablet at a time. Just like with soft wax, stir thoroughly - this time until the wax has a smooth consistency like thick honey.

Using a spatula, apply hard wax in thick but even coats in strips no wider than 1 inch (2-1/2cm). Allow the wax on your skin to cool until it is hard but still pliable. Hold the skin taut and pull the paper off in a quick motion in the opposite direction to your hair growth. You may need to soothe the area before you move on to the next area.
